I’m helping a fellow Club Member and British Car Enthusiast market this great Austin Healey 100-6, BN6, 2 Seat Sports Car. Prior to purchasing the car in 2003, it had been extensively restored and featured, fresh White paint, new floor panels on both sides, new red leather interior with matching red vinyl soft top (rarely installed) and Tonneau cover, new red carpet plus new (rarely used) Aluminum framed side curtains.
In 2005 the engine was pulled by seller himself and rebuilt to BJ8 specs which includes; bored .030”, balanced rotating assembly, new pistons, rings and bearings, reworked head with hardened valve seats, SU carbs rebuilt, new high torque starter, finned allow oil pan and polished alloy valve cover were added along with Swain Coating to the Exhaust Manifold. At the same time seller sourced an Overdrive Transmission which was also rebuilt and new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing were added. Seller is very meticulous and hands on about all of his cars and anything that the 100-6 has needed to be a safe, reliable, nice weather driver has been attended to. Speedometer and Tachometer were also rebuilt, odometer was reset to “0” and now shows just over 6500 miles. In 2008 seller installed BJ8 front disc brakes and rebuilt the entire front suspension which helped to greatly improve braking and ride quality. Next seller installed a Tube style rear shock conversion from Cape International which also improved the cars ride and added a set of Panasport Alloys in place of the rare factory steel wheels. All lights, gauges and horns work as designed and the car is ready to be driven anywhere.
This great car has been used very little in the past few years and it is only for sale to help Seller’s other projects to now move forward. If you want a wonderful, reliable Classic Car that you can drive as intended look no further. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Bill Miller Car Finder LLC, 732-778-3274, bmillerreoinnj@comcast.net, to request more photos, ask any questions and schedule a test drive while you can. Asking $46,900 and worth it.
Seller has a small assortment of extra parts that could be purchased separately which include; 4 Original steel wheels, Original front Drum Brakes and King Pins, black Parish Plastics Hard Top, new complete Falcon Stainless Steel Exhaust System and a new nearly complete red carpet kit. The very rare Lucas Flamethrower Driving Lights will be retained by seller and Le Mans style fuel filler will be replaced with proper factory part prior to sale.
