Originally RHD racing car from UK, raced in Ca. worn right out
Converted to LHD, totally rebuilt-restored. I mean TOTALLY: re gelcoated and painted Installed a Toyota MR2 engine tied to the original Lotus gearbox. 411 dif. CV jointed axles. Frame reinforced to Spider specs. forward mounted aluminum radiator, thermostatic auxiliary fan, Weber carbs, special grind Webcams. High compression pistons, exhaust header. Makes 172 HP at rear wheels. New top, new tires, set of minlites and standard Lotus wheels with original, perfect, Lotus hubcaps All NEW dashboard, instruments, Nardi steering wheel. three point retractable seat belts. Shaved rear boot hinges (no longer visible). Koni adjustable shocks. Except for the boot lid hinges looks totally standard, until you push the rightmost peddle. 0 to 60 in under six seconds depending on the road surface. Not officially a lightweight but weighs only 1389 pounds with no fluids. A real canyon carver. Cornering ability held back by standard tires and no fender flares, but will not change the look of the body to install.
