“Little Blue II”
Vehicle acquired as a project, to be an almost-clone of my first car, a '64 Sprite "Little Blue". Completed reassembly March 9, 2018. Departures from originality include the 1275 CC engine, non-factory color and interior color scheme, removal of chrome trim strips, replacement of the grille with one from a '71 Midget, and replacement of the pull starter with a key-start and solenoid. As of August 2, 2019, the grille has been changed to be correct for the year; wire wheels and hubs from a 1965 donor car were exchanged with the disc wheels that came with the car, and a new blue soft top has been installed.
