Twin-Cam engine replaced due to broken crank and piston damage. The no-power SMOG engine was anemic, offering only 105HP (same as street '68 Ford Cortina)
Replacement was Ford uprated Kent engine, block 114M-6015. The engine was bored to 1700cc and built with Forged Pistons, Forged Rods and an SCCA Scat steel crank shaft. All rotating parts were balanced.
ISKI still offered a performance cam similar To Burton Power to the Kent 244. Peak power is at 6400 RPM. The engine is easily good to
7000.
Cylinder head was milled flat and given a fresh valve job. The springs & retainers were from ISKI stock. Spring pressure at the seat was increased by 10%.
Carburation by 2 dual throat Weber 40DCEO models.
Exhaust: Tube length header tuned for midrange power
Wheels are 15 inch with 195-50 performance tires.
Suspension: standard spring rated retained front & rear with custom
front adjustable sway to balance understeer.
Custom built Roof Mounted Rearview Camera with dash display and a full-time when running radar detector.
This car is my last restoration and may be sold.
