I like the looks of the seats that the 64-65 Spridgets used better than the ones that came in my 66. I've collected some old ones and am refurbishing them with new covers. I was able to use one set of old foams and had to purchase one set. Everything got blasted then treated with POR15. When fitting the vinyl I found that heat from a hair dryer and the sun of a warm day were my best friends. The pieces that slip over the "horns" seemed impossibly small, I was convinced they were improperly made, but after the hair dryer treatment they slipped right into place. I've never done this kind of work before but I think they came out OK. I am tempted by the Miata seats and even the Corvette seats from the mid 80s, so I'll see how these feel after I sit on them for a long trip.
